Jesus’ birth was sung by angelic choirs declaring blessing: “suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, ‘Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth, peace to those on whom His favour rests.”

A word of blessing would never be far from Jesus’ lips and a declaration of peace would be a key part of the message that His disciples would bring. The task of blessing and healing is delegated to you!

“whatever house you enter, first say, peace be to this household!” (freedom from all the distresses that result from sin, be with this family), and if anyone worthy of peace and blessedness is there, the peace and blessedness you wish shall come upon him; if not, it shall come back to you.” Luke 10:5,6 (Message)

Who doesn’t want to receive blessing? The Biblical understanding of bless means “a multiplication of Gods favour resulting in prosperity, fruitfulness and an enjoyment of victory over enemies.”

1 Peter 3:8-9 in the Message says: “be agreeable, by sympathetic, be loving, be compassionate, be humble. That goes for all of you, no exceptions. No retaliation. No sharp-tongued sarcasm. Instead, bless! That’s your job, to bless!”
